Green restaurant and food service suppliers

Being green in foodservice is about more than just the restaurant, it’s about all the suppliers and partners involved. The LEAF Approved Supplier Program connects operators with restaurant and food service suppliers that are doing their part to make the food service industry more sustainable.

LEAF Approved Suppliers offer products or services that are eligible for points within the LEAF criteria, and have attained the right to use the LEAF seal on their products to help consumers identify “green” products more easily.

In addition, LEAF Approved Suppliers must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated concern and consideration for environmental responsibility in their industry
  • Take actions to reduce their company environmental impact
  • Source and/or produce environmentally preferable products
  • Utilize environmentally-preferable processing, production, and/or packaging methods
